Hello guys,
I stripped the plastic drain plug and now it is slowly leaking. I am now able to turn it 360°. Which side are you suppose to turn to close the valve, clockwise or counterclockwise? I am not sure what to do with that. Do I have to change the whole radiator itself? It would be a pain...
I searched, without any success.
Thanks!

Standard thread so counter clockwise to open clockwise to close. It’s plastic and easy to break or strip if over torqued. There’s a notch that once you feel, you rotate an additional maximum of 90 degrees to close fully
Order new plug and swap out. If it breaks off heat up a screwdriver and let the plastic melt onto it. Then remove.

Hum, I thought it was impossible to change only the plug?Originally Posted by 95viper

Okay, I did some research, and 95viper is right, I should be able to change only the plug. I just removed mine without any issue.Originally Posted by MangeDlaMarde

My last question is: closed, is the plug vertical or horizontal? Does it rotate only 90°? I need to know which side I will have to put my new plug...

Had this issue before. Took a brass punch and hammer and tapped the drain plug in gently until it stopped leaking. Definitely try to hit/tap it in more for a temporary fix. Its just an O-ring that seals it besides the plastic treads
