New C63 Owner -- NJ Inspection Question

Hi All- Recently purchased a 2012 C63 and the vehicle has a AP performance exhaust installed, consisting of LT headers, decatted midpipe and valvetronic final stage. Vehicle is running on an Eurocharged v5 blip tune .

Trying to figure out my best approach to get this passed NJ state inspection. Does anybody know the monitor readiness requirements for NJ? I've seen some mixed reports on whether I will pass with the tune or not.

I do plan to install 200 cell Magnaflow HFCs because of personal preference and to meet visual requirements.

Thanks,
Z

If you are going to do the cats anyway do them won’t hurt, changing for a stock system I’m sure someone would take you up on that offer. You should try a stock exhaust car first to see what you will be giving up in terms of sound and performance first imo

Got my self setup with a Bluetooth ODBII reader and Torque pro. Took the below snapshot of my emissions and drive cycle status. I cleared the fault codes when I first got the car and have run it about 50 miles before taking this reading.

The items marked incomplete, are those still waiting for readiness? Are the Not Avail items supposed to be Not Avail? Is this gonna pass inspection?

nope

I'm in NJ. You need a cat as they will look for it and all sensors reading. A "pass through cat" may squeak through.

You need a programmer and a stock file to flash it back to stock.

I have the hand held programmer from the previous owner, so I could flash it back to stock.

I've got a pair of Magnaflow 200 CEL HFC I will have welded into the midpipe.

I'm not sure if this will be enough? Thinking about also installing the rear O2 sensors into these.

Yea, most likely the rear O2 sensors were turned off. If you can contact the previous owner, ask them if they can request another V5 tune from EC with the Rear O2 sensors turned back on. Otherwise, you will have to reflash to stock every time for inspection, even if you were to reinstall cats.
