Hello everyone this is Frank, I have a 2012 c63 AMG a few weeks ago my my backup camera stopped working out of nowhere I see a lot of people talk about lines across the screen but I just have a totally black screen in reverse and I could still read check your surroundings on the screen but no video image. I bought a used camera uninstalled it and it's still the same luckily that camera was only $80. Has anybody else seen this issue I see there's some threads on it but not a solid answer thank you in advance for any h
elp that you may give
Mine does this every once in a while. It tends to happens after I close the trunk. I reopen and re-close to help shake whatever wire is loose, then it works again.

Ive taken apart everything and checked all the connections even the flexible part on the right hinge post attached to the lid and no luck scanned and no codes in the body, camera or audio systems but thanks for the reply, oh yes even slammed the trunk a couple of times

Hahahahahah yes it is , would be pretty embarrassed if that was the case 🤣🤣🤣😱🙈
Moisture in the camera unit can do this. I had this every time I washed the car, and when dried it would work again. I fixed it by using a really small amount of black sealant the hole where the wire goes in.
