Just ordered one for myself, will let you know how everything turns out in ~4 weeks but I think from all the positive feedback in the comments we all know that this is a solid product with proven benefits. I recently installed a stage 2 Weistec supercharger on my 2010 w204 C63 so this is going to be a much needed upgrade

Hello everyone, I currently have a cooler kit in stock, but only for normal engines without a supercharger. If anyone is interested, let me know.

@SRG_C63 Any plans to expand this upgrade to other M156-cars?

Would be interested for my R230 if you ever go that route. Thank you!

Normally this should fit any M156 engine. Check the part number of the cooler on the W204. It is the same for the E-Class and the C-Class. If the R-Class has the same part number, the kit should fit.

The new cooler just arrived! I’ll post pics of the install in the coming weeks along with some before and after oil temp numbers.

Hello everyone,

Due to an extended stay abroad, it will not be possible to ship orders for four months starting in January. Of course, you can still place an order, but shipping will not resume until mid-May. If anyone would like to purchase a cooler, please reach out very quickly.

Greetings

New cooler is installed, overall very quick and easy. I did have to shave down the bolt hole by a few millimeters for both of the oil lines as it didn't quite line up with the threaded portion on the cooler once the lines are attached. So far after two days of driving I'm seeing oil temps are lower by ~15F, basically what they were prior to the supercharger install.

I'm very satisfied and absolutely recommend this cooler for anyone looking to address oil temp issues (be it as part of a supercharged system or a just from track time.)

My install was a breeze and a MUST have for our m156 platform since overheating oil makes for sad limp mode situation. Since install last year there is no longer the oil over heat issue rather on track or stop and go traffic!!

Hah, Same! I received mine in 2023 and just got it installed last month.

The install was very simple, everything fit together nicely with minimal persuasion needed. I resealed the lower oil pan at the same time and everything is great with no leaks. I just need to take the bottom panel back off and open up the vents a little more. I was out of dremel discs at the time.

The improvement is unquestionable. It's still winter in the mountains, but it's been 70F a few days where my temps would have easily been 240+ before. I'm not going over about 220 now. Very happy and looking forward to seeing the lower temps as summer heats up.

Thank you SRG_C63!

Just came back from a long weekend in Vienna. Today Sunday and without the problematic restrictive weekday flow of semis on the German autobahns, using the unrestricted speed sections and driving a steady 170-180km/h, the oil temperature held a steady 107°c. Water temperature was a solid 93°c. A further positive real world testimony to the excellent product offered by SRG_C63

As a follow up, I checked into this as the car will be coming out of winter storage soon, and unfortunately it's a different part number for the R230 SL.

Hello everyone,

All orders placed from now on will be processed as usual, there is no longer any „waiting“ time.

And once again, thank you very much for the positive feedback!

Finally installed mine today after having it for 3 years, on the drive back from the shop that installed it so far it seems on low speed drives temps are the same as stock (obviously as not much air over the cooler), on the motorway (highway) 5-10c lower than stock driving steady to the point it was in the 95-99c range which I have never seen since owning the car from new.

A quick 20 min decent drive going on some straight and twisty roads which are flat/uphill/downhill and in the mountains it never seemed to get above 112c pushing on but I will test it again properly in a few weeks.

In terms of fitment like others the holder holes had to be elongated/washers added and my shop used shorter bolts for the oil lines. No big deal at all with any of that.

BTW I kept the side cooler fan in place and stock undertray for now so there is still more than can be done.

Did a 800km trip on Monday in 30°c temps practically non-stop apart for fuel stops for the vehicle and pit stops for the driver and oil temps never got above 110°c. In spirited driving conditions, I've never seen the oil temps above 115°c. Water remains steady at 93°c in all conditions.
I also kept the side cooler in place. I did install the alloy fins supplied with the kit to the undertray, so I guess that also helps flowing and extracting hot air through the oil cooler.

Thats good in those temps & yes my coolent temps are same as stock, probably going to do the SLS side cooler next and add an additional cooler for the trans straight into the Weistec trans pan. The MBH headers are next though as they are booked in for fitting in 4 weeks!
