C63 Custom Wide Rear Extension

Following Cozy's recent conversion, Golding Barn Garage over in the UK has also completed this custom rear arch extension on my 4 door saloon.
I had initially purchased the HPC dynamics kit but found that the rear bumper grove line is different from the prefacelift bumper. So returned and refunded.
Golding Barn Garage used Cozy's Coupe kit and modified it to include the rear door pieces.

BC Forged wheels were added.
Specs of those wheels are - HB35 BC Forged in Brush Bronzed with Satin Black barrel, hidden hardware.
Fronts 19x9J ET40 running 245/35 tyres
Rears 19x11.5J ET30 running 305/30 tyres

Calipers painted Ferrari Yellow with metallic flakes.

Here are a few pics. I am delighted with the final results.
Such a balanced set up with the Forged wheels and KW DDC suspension.
Matches the ESS supercharger with no issues with TC now. Happy days!

Sorry about the JDM-Manga fusion theme. Probably just a phase and a bit of fun. Adds a bit of colour to the stormtrooper theme.

Looks awesome. I wonder if they are willing to ship these kits to USA. Would love to have one on my coupe. Care to share details of what it cost to get it all done?

I usually don’t like these conversions but that rear is reminiscent of the CLK black series! Nicely done!!

To be honest, haven't been able to drive the car properly as the UK has been hit by some wet weather front last 2 weeks.

The kit itself is about 800 pounds - $1050

The cost of the build - excluding the wheels was about 4500 pounds. Not cheap but their workmanship and quality is good and their garage is near where i live.

What do the unfinished rear fender pieces look like? From the pic below it looks like they could just be slapped on with rivnuts and call it a day if you didn't really care what it looks like.

Yes, they ship to the USA. My coupe was the development machine and here is the expectant results you’ll get on one.

Look up Golding Barn Garage and shoot them an email. Tell them Jason refereed you and they’ll look after you.

what width rims you reckon you’d get under the rear there?

I intend too!
How fat are your rears? 315?
Also, are you running BS sideskirts for the increased width? ...I noticed they're different as well.

These are exactly what I've been looking for, for my coupe.

I‘m using an 11” rear with a 295 but, that was forced upon me as at the time I couldn’t get 305’s right then and there in Pilot Sport 4S. Next time I’ll increase to a 305. A 315 would go on there but it’d look quite fat and better suited to a 11.5” wheel. Realistically a 12” will get in there, it’s just about playing with offsets. Example I’m running ET23 on the 11”, but Sirius is running ET30 on 11.5” and fitment is around the same. I believe if you decreased to ET35 on the rear on 11.5” a 315 would work, then it’s about shock clearance after that whether you can move the wheel in further and increase tyre width further.

The standard skirts flare out to meet the new quarter width. I have then added some carbon blades which flare out nicely at the rear to meet the wide body.

The kit comes with 6 pieces for the coupe and 8 pieces for the saloon.
the skirts extension and rear bumper extensions comes with the kit. Hence the difference.

I m running 305s with 11.5J ET30.

315s would fit with ET25. Just didnt want to risk it with suspension clearance. It is very minimal difference.

255s to 305s is already day & night difference.

Stupid question but is the profile of the coupe vs saloon the same? I won't require use of my rear doors so I'm curious if the coupe bits would fit.

Yes. Both kits are the same. Developed from the coupe to start with.
