no the flex commander is generic. Increasing flow with more e content. And vice versa. No generic tune will be able to dial in injectors almost twice the value of stock ones. Dyno’s are also a terrible way to tune. Street tune is the way to go. Also peak numbers mean dog ****. There’s guy that “make” 500whp that run 11.5-6 with tire and there’s guys that make 460 and run 11 flat close to tens.

there is a guy on YouTube problem c63 that ran I think a 10.8 full bolt on with flex fuel. I just want to run low 11s. That’s all my goal is. Anything after that I’m happy.

PeterA90...you're a guy who knows what he wants in life.

which companies increase the flow of factory injectors these days? in the past this process has resulted in unreliable injectors. wasn't sure these type of companies were still around. if so would like to learn more about them.

edit:
went on a rant about tunes but deleted. don't want to clutter the thread. carry on.

Whats up Barry,

I was reading into these guys https://fuelinjectorclinic.com/fuel-injector-modification

I guarantee EC used them on the original service...since not many companies offer this

Larger injectors require more work to tune in. As you discussed in our texts.

Couple questions if you modified your stock injectors to flow more
1. How do you determine your ethanol content? and
2. Do the injectors have to be e85 compatible? Idk if stock ones are.

1) ethanol content doesn’t matter. The increased cc will keep duty bias down. Anything over 545-550 cc is dumb. Probably losing power imho from running like a pig.

2) think of this. Your stock system can handling 10%e. And the is either ethanol compatible or not. E is more corrosive and doesn’t have the cleaning properties of pump gas. I recommend throwing in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner preferably some with PEA or running a tank of 93 every 5-7 tanks.

Besides this car runs best at e60 imho that’s 105+ octane...

cool man...thanks for the info.

ya larger injectors will require a proper tune to make the best of it. the factory computer can compensate +/-46 on fuel trims until you run into adverse running conditions on larger injectors. before that all will run fairly fine.

thebug44, pretty sure you'll see that the factory computer with flex fuel sensor kit will run. if you don't want/have to waste the flash credits don't do it. I have HPTuners on those Bosch injectors running better than stock so no worries there. cold starts included. even in cold weather starts are not an issue.

I made a post a while back saying I wanted to use HPTuners with a shop that is super experienced in another platform and was told not to do it. So I went with eurocharged. I have a place close to me with a dyno that has a eurocharged partnership and has tuned a lot of w204 C63s so once my headers are installed I will get a can tune for the headers and flex and run it until i am ready for the custom tune.

Once this whole corona virus cools down i hope to go to the track

HP Tuners for an American car is nothing like HPTuners for a Bosch Motronic computer. That was good advice someone gave you.

wiring isn’t the cleanest unfortunately. I think this is the best I can do. Tried tucking them under the rail close to the intake manifold as best as I could.

is it a bad thing having it like this close to the intake manifold like that?

I was able to get my wiring tucked in parallel to the fuel rail and zip tied them in place. the intake boxes will fit fine but the foam isolators won't fit .

recently I installed some silver reflective fiberglass material from Amazon to the bottom side of my intake boxes. not as fancy as the gold stuff but something is better than nothing.

yea I have come to the conclusion there is no way the foam insulators will fit with the way this is going. As long as it isn’t a big deal I am okay with it.

finally all done with the car. Rubber items went on nicely. Some wires are a little close to the intake manifold but I am sure it won’t burn them at all.

2nd photo is the nasty area I put my box. I will fix that eventually but now... time to flash this tune and fill her up with some e85

Well it is time to filler up gentlemen. I am nervous but also excited. Last time I replaced injectors on my car I had a fuel leak. I pressurized the system didn’t see any leaks.

gonna start the car hopefully no leaks. And when you buy used parts you always have to be somewhat concerned if everything works correctly

Okay, some bad news. I am getting Cylinder 2 (P0302)
and Cylinder 5 (P0305) misfire codes. Also, C0700 but I don't think this one is as bad as the other two. Now I have to diagnose this and figure out what the problem is.

Does anyone have any ideas? I did upload the eurocharged tune also IDK if this could be causing an issue.
