My Dumb Question for the week, re; Cruise Control
Regarding my 2012 C63, when you have engaged the cruise control, and you are going down hill.
What part of the vehicle slows the vehicle down, when it is speeding up (going down hill), is it the braking system, the auto gearbox or something else?
Looking forward to your knowledgible reply/s.

"On downhill grades, the cruise control
maintains the set speed by braking with the
vehicle’s brake system.
Vehicles with automatic transmission:
In addition, on longer downhill grades the
automatic transmission will downshift
automatically."
