bulb in command center is out

Hi everybody,

The lighting in my command center area is out, where the buttons are for Radio, Nav, Tele, the numbers, CD changer, etc.

Anybody know what part number that bulb is or how to replace it?

I've been searching for diagrams or YouTube DIY.

Any help is appreciated,

2009 C63 (W204)

Greg

Did you ever find out the answer? I'm in the same boat.

No. I'm about to pull the thing out and start trying to fix these bulbs. If I find anything I'll let you know, or ping again in this forum and I*'ll update. I currently have a subscription to AllDataDiy.com, too, which has some helpful diagrams.

Also, I'm not sure where I saw it, probably some videos on YouTube, but you can pull the center console out with some pick tools, available at Home Depot.

Something like this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Ho...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

I think I found videos of somebody working on their C300 since the center is similar (the same?).

I didn't pull out the center console today but I did pull out some other electronics, specifically: the toggle on your left side that changes the headlight setting. A few of my bulbs are out and they look to be LED. I took apart the unit and decided not to replace the bulbs, looked like it would be easier to replace the whole unit.

The same seems to be the case for the center console. From what I've read and heard, those center units need to be entirely replaced once bulbs start burning out. Very expensive. Not sure thought, I don't really drive at night so I don't care too much.

Just my two cents and update.
