2010 C63 AMG, 2015 GL450, 2018 GLS 550, 2021 GLS 450
Bad transmission mounts?
Entire car shakes when selecting PRND. Doesn’t matter if it’s P to R or D to R or N to D etc.

shifts from 1-7 smoothly but that’s while driving down the road.


Are bad transmission mounts the culprit?

That or motor mounts... with these cars I would tend to guess it’s the motor mounts more than likely but you will have to check to know for sure

I just ordered some new ones from ece that are poly so have more stiffness and should last longer. They also make matching transmission mounts if you want to do them at the same time

If changing motor mounts, change your transmission one at the same time.

trans one is easier to do so id try that first

Does the motor move
If the motor mounts are shot, the engine will noticeably move / jump when the engine is reved.

You also may see leaking fluid from the motor mounts.
