Yes it will fit. There may be some minor changes to the harness plugs, but easy to do with having two harnesses to use. I just had a 2012 C63 engine swapped into mine and it was a straight-forward affair. My prior engine had hydrolocked after a catastrophic head bolt failure. 20L of coolant was drained from the sump :P

I am very happy with the new motor; as the black rocker cover motors had all revised head bolts, camshafts and adjusters to remedy the prior faults on the early run of these engines (white rocker cover motors).

Mine is now tuned with full headers + hi flow cats + x-over straight pipes and putting out over 315kw/420hp at the rear wheels now. Very fun to drive!

Im late to the party here, but the company that starts with a W marks their **** up at least 3-400% in most cases. RM Auto (google the lifter part number they will show up) sells the updated M159 lifters for $7 and change each.

not the $20 and change that MB and the W company charges.

EDIT: I’m sorry, 999.99 /32 = $31.24 EACH!!!!

Error 404: Math not found.

Yes, INA is the OE supplier of these lifters to MB and they are identical to the parts branded as MB.

Myself and another member located the ARP hardware that they sell for north of $500 (big surprise) to hold the cam caps and phasers on for a little more than 1/3 what they were charging direct from ARP.

I wouldn’t buy anything from them until they take a reality check.

you have to search the forum for head bolt affected engine serial numbers.

then you either run the vin of the car that the engine came from, or locate the serial number of the engine and see which side of the fence it sits on.

But the only real way to know for sure if there is any doubt is to pull the valve cover and have a look.

You’re from Victoria right? Buy another ****ing car. FFS. You are not swapping engines in MBS’s unless you’re an engineering genius, really stupid, or from Victoria.

AFAIK early 2011 engines on were corrected. I believe all black rocker cover motors are revised engines with none of the prior issues.

C63 Difilippo or X Force headers also fit the E models. Sonny from Autowerx designed the headers on the jig for those companies.

If you don't want drone, make sure a resonator is plumbed into the system. Keep stock mufflers, and yes you will have to run straight pipes merging into a x-over pipe. I do not have a resonator and there is zero drone, and with the bi-modal mufflers it is very quiet on cruise but LOUD when applying throttle.

Hello guys my beloved 2009 cls63 had a major catastrophic headbolts meltdown that my engine broke down on me while i was driving . Towed it to my mechanic and told me that i need a new used engine. I came across this nice ebay seller selling this C63 for $6,500 with 79K miles on it with Installation cost $2,000. Currently in the works and is awaiting for her arrival. So now that the new used c63 only delivers 450 hp will it bump up to 517hp just like the cls63? Or does it need to be tuned?

Nah you’re good. It’ll turn into 517hp automatically as soon as you put it in the car as long as you’re not also changing out the horsepower tank.

If you use the old ecu from the cls you would have the same output as before.

thanks for that information. Is the ecu attached to the engine compartment. Coz what there replacing is the engine only. Please enlighten me with this.
