C63 w204 Side Marker Errors - Pls Help!
I am hoping someone who might have faced similar situation can chime in here and help me figure this problem out. For my 2011 C63 i bought some LED 1156 bulbs with can-bus for my reverse lights. Once I Installed them bulbs worked great but I got an error message check rear left and right side marker. So I figured it’s the LED bulbs that the car doesn’t like. So I installed the original bulbs back so I can get rid of the error message. Installed it back but Error didn’t go away. Then I replaced all 8 bulbs in the taillights with halogen ones thinking maybe 1 is bad. Still error message didn’t go away. Any advice?

What I do when there's a brain fart like this is to disconnect the battery for a day to clear any residual charge and ensure that all volatile memory is purged. That way theoretically a "clean" check is being done on the next startup and hopefully an expected value is being returned for each bulb during the system check. GL, I'd expect a greater than 50% chance it works.

check the ground circuit. 204 had a recall and is notorious for bbq'ing the taillamp ground circuit at the connector to bulb carrier. Also seen bulb carriers melt as well causing deformation and high resistance.
edit:
just realized we're talking about the front side markers lol. I've seen lots of sockets that have corrosion from melted lenses letting water in. Also bad wiring in the headlamps coming apart, usually for driving lights.
