I made it roughly 26,000+ hard racing miles on the NTN bearings. tensioner bearing is pretty sticky. belt was already abused and old. time for a tow! thankfully, the thermostat bleed wasn't taken out this time!
I did find a higher speed option but required custom ordering and specification of grease type to support the higher rpm range. from F.A.G. Bearings. don't think I'll put in the effort for only 4 bearings. also their side seals will leak which means shorter service life if you aren't repacking the grease. if repacking they'll last a lifetime.
GL! This a very interesting project I'd like to do myself soon. Had a frayed belt at the beginning of summer, sounded like a tick and thought it was low on oil as I just changed it - caught it in time so no issue
