2017 C63S Coupe

Any advice for specialty polishing or replacing? Window trim around entirety of car is moderately stained/oxidized. Can't seem to find a solution nor even where to purchase replacement trim.

Any help appreciated.

Chemical guys light medal polish should do the trick. I can’t imagine it being too bad, since it’s a 2017...

work in small sections at a time. Rub until it’s completely gone, then wipe with clean microfiber with in one direction.

Careful. Put a magnet on it. If it is anodized aluminum, you might remove the anodization depending on the product. Once that's gone, the underlying aluminum will become harder to keep shiny. BTW I just checked my '14 GL. All the window trim is aluminum and cloudy. BTW I went on the Q&A page for the above link. Here is a response from the manufacturer....(I don't agree with the last part because for sure you will remove the anodization)....Metal polishes will not work on anodized coatings, painted finishes, or wrapped surfaces. Metal polishes are intended for use on bare unsealed polished metal parts. Polish a small test spot on the part in question. If your polishing towel comes back with black oxidation and contamination, then the part can be polished with metal polish. If the towel does not come back black, then you must use an abrasive paint polish.

Mine is the same way. I tried some flitz polish and some Menzerna with an ibrid. Better, but not fixed.

I was dealing with same issue with 2017 glc43. I finally ran across a video of a guy in Cali doing vinyl wrap. I found a local shop that was able to wrap my window trim with a 3M black gloss (my car is black). Looks really good and only cost $250.

The dealer just approved all trim including roof rails on my 2017 e400 wagon. I was turned down two other times for warranty claim but was persistent. The service rep also wants to buy my car in a couple years so that might of helped
