I’m a skeptic of mechanic in a bottle, but...

This Ceratec stuff is no joke. I just drove home from work and parked the car and idled for a minute or two while surfing MBW. Usually you can hear some valvetrain noise. It’s gone.

I also did a trans service today. I wish I’d had a VMI done before that, because sometime in the past it had a trans service done at MB with gold fluid. The pan and magnet were clean for the most part. The fluid out of the torque converter wasn’t full of trash, so they must’ve drained it too.

I think it’s probably placebo, but I was *****ing about indecisive shifts a few days ago, and that seems to have cleared up.

Im going to put it back up on the lift in a week or two to check the fluid level. I doubt all of the air made it out of the torus shape of the TC while I was waiting for it to come up to temp. Probably idled for half an hour.

gold fluid is used in the 9spds. That would be very odd for them to use that. Yours should be red slight possibility of blue but thats usually a 2012 thing. So weird man!

The vin check came back with the A89 code, so it shipped with blue fluid.

Mine must’ve been one of the very last PFL cars built because it has a bunch of should be 2012 stuff. Plastic valve covers, but the numbers on the valve covers match the vin. A89 trans, stuff like that.
