AmazonBasics oil
Anybody try the AmazonBasics 5w40 oil? It's a great price, $29.99 for 6 quarts.
Haven't tried it in any of my cars yet. My brother tried it in his commuter sedan and liked it. Currently using Liqui Moly for my C63, which is double the price of the amazon oil.
Apparently this AmazonBasics oil is still pretty high quality stuff.

The problem with AmazonBasics engine oil is that you:
A) don't know what is behind the label and
B) even if you did find out, it could easily change w/o any notice.
Because of this, I wouldn't run it in any car I own, even if it was free.
That said, you don't have to pay a premium for Liqui Moly, either.
Rotella T6 is one of the best oils ever made with a proven track record of favorable UOAs on numerous platforms including this one.
It also costs only fifty cents more per quart than the AmazonBasics option.

Just put mineral oil in it, it’ll be fine and is super cheap or wait until that project farm guy on you tube does some meaningless tests on it that have no real science involved.

I can hear ticking in your future very soon
High quality oil, fuels and fluids are in fact the cheapest investment you will ever make in a high performance engine. For an extra $30 every 5000kms? makes no sense to cheap out.
