Check engine light
Howdy gents,
Bit of an odd one here. Just had my car serviced, like 8 days ago, haven't driven it since then. After the service, the car drove normally with no CEL.
This morning, started her up and she had a lumpy idle. Then when i put the car into gear, it "pulsed" forward and then a CEL came on. Turned the car off and on, CEL disappeared. Drove normally. Really got me scratching my head.

Dont have a scanner, so no idea what's up.
Took it on a very big cruise today, doing some fairly quick speeds. Car performed flawlessly with no further CEL's. Hopefully it stays that way

Get a scanner then. They’re like 20 bucks. Are you waiting for your car to strand you somewhere first?

It's on the list of things to get now. Unfortunately nothing is $20 in Australia. Is there any particular model of scanner that is "better" or more highly recommended than the rest?

If you really want something MB specific and it is worth the investment so you can see ever module codes and do some resets (like airbag, abs, brakes etc) I would do a foxwell or icarsoft, both are in the $150-$170 usd range and are excellent to have. I have tried both and both work about the same, I have the NT530 foxwell and you can also add other brands to it for under 100 bucks in the future, so it isn't throw away if you get rid of the merc or if you own another car.
