I hear what you are saying but when switching from rubber to poly you are going to get more nvh present but should in return have more stiffness and response from the engine and they should last longer than a rubber bushing
or the hydraulic/rubber bushing as found in the factory engine mounts. I think without a doubt if you want the least nvh and most smooth vehicle possible the stock ones would be hands down the best
If these "failed" then they failed out of the box. Blackrocket, you have a track car with solid/poly bushings all over and probably catless long tubes with no mufflers lol. Im saying if you owned an S class and had blown mounts, and I put these in you'd think I popped your blown mounts more and lied about replacing them. If you like to unmercedes your mercedes they were a good fit. To the average C63 guy with loud exhaust, you would likely not care so much. If squeaks. rattles and noise bother you they weren't for you. NVH was terrible.
Also worked on an S65 with them and had very similar results, however this one the transmission one failed very quickly.
I'd agree the mounts were pretty and well made. Billet CNC, design looks great, they just dont work like stockers.
So they didn't fail. Just not as comfortable as the OEM oil filed rubber bags.
Stay away from these mounts if you enjoy peace and quiet in your cabin. I had the street version and they felt like **** at a stop light or on cold start. Might as well have solid steel mounts in place. That will give you the ultimate race car feel for those that track. It’s a waste of 500 bucks for street guys. And mine blew out less than 10k miles. I can see why he discontinued them. His trans one has been solid for me and it’s the stiffest poly. You definitely feel more trans shifts from it... but it’s super stable.

I had the center poly insert but not the gasket he later introduced. To reduce heat. The bottom polys were absolutely demolished. They looked sandwiched... more on the passenger side. Hard to tell from the photo

Damn, I will check mine. Maybe swap in the 60A race set with the thermal barrier when I get them instead of waiting.

If that was when they were first installed, 40A is still pretty hard so that's just harmonics transferring through the subframe.
Haha mine is fully gutted now with straight pipes for track only duty. Zero fks about vibrations.
I'm only concerned about failure.
Lol I’m right there with you. Except I’m not gutted and have ARH catback. But if I was gonna dedicate this car for track only id get solid steel mounts. They will fail with poly insert soon. It’s just a matter of time. Was quite displeased for only having them on less than a year with only highway pulls...

His mounts Also made the exhaust sit too low. And not streamline with body. My cars lowered on v3’s and I would always scrap my headers.
I installed mine Mar 2019 and drove a whole regular season. Then a whole track season in 2020.
I will pull them out and apart to inspect but so far I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. I didn't go with their trans mount. I instead modified an OEM mount and filled the voids with 60A polyurethane, installed at the same time as the engine mounts and is holding up well.

I'm almost at 7k with my setup (motor and engine, 60A) and I have no unidentifiable sounds or vibrations other than the one at 4k.
I’ve had the 60A in for 4yrs and haven’t noticed any degradation.
I realize that this is an old thread. But after an idiot ran a stopsign in January, totalling my '11 c63, I purchased a '12 C63 with stage3 Weistec blower, tube headers, de-catted, along with all of the options (Trunk Ice, AEM Methanol/water injection, oil/air sep, etc.) already installed and tuned. The car also had ECE mounts installed. Within a month of buying the car, the engine-to-frame vibration started. It grew worse over the past 3 weeks to the point of being incredibly loud and obnoxious at stop lights unless I shifted into neutral to remove the loading. I remembered the condition from when the OEM mounts on my previous C63 failed. So I ordered a set of OEM mounts this week, to replace the ECE mounts.
When I got under the car today to do the work, I noticed some blue goo that had puddled under the car on the driveway. Not knowing what it was, I went ahead with removing the lower shields. To my surprise the blue goo puddles were also present on the top side of the lower plastic shields, apparently flooding from the holes in each of the ECE motor mounts. Talk about a friggin mess to clean up! Removing that crap from one of the headers, from the frame, and from the plastic shields was a nightmare.
I guess that's what they meant by poly "FAILURE" with those mounts. I think I'll stick with the OEM mounts for the time being, until someone comes up with a better option. I'm not saying the OEM mounts won't also fail. But this car only had 49k miles on it when I bought it. And so far everything else on it has checked out perfectly, including the dyno results. But the ECE mounts were a complete failure in function, lifespan, and in terms of making a huge sticky mess. Has anyone come up with an aftermarket solution that will last 50-100k miles?
