Clear codes then try, most cars wont let you start them after airbag deployment.
I have had the same problem before with other makes and models, some will only run with the scanner connected to the OBD port, some will run after being cleared.
Pitty you not in Australia, i have a dash and airbags sitting here for a 2011 onward C class with seatbelts.

How bad was the front end damage?, also are the batteries fully charged, check this with your scanner if the voltage is slightly low it will not complete the start .

By the look of your pictures I would say you need to clear the ECU codes there will be a code activated that will not let start, or that battery voltage is below start level
Just a decent scan tool, I would not use a $50 scan tool but a good quality aftermarket one will do the job, Autel, Launch etc.
You just need to do a thorough scan and clear whatever codes it has.

Cant be 100% sure as i am not working on the car, but im fairly confident this will be your problem, I have done airbags on multiple cars over the years, some will not start until I scan and clear codes, I have a Autel and it has worked on all the cars I have done, I have a $50 one that will clear generic dash light codes but wont work doing anything else.
On a side note, when you replace the airbags and front seatbelts, your airbag module will need clearing, which is under the radio bolted to the top of the trans tunnel in the W204, not something for the novice to do with a scan tool, reprogram is the cheapest option, plenty of places around that do a mail in service , I have only had 1 that could not be done as the car was a 5 week old new model Mitsubishi..

Lol...I have a 2017 (w205) c43 coupe that had front end damage that wouldn't start and I used this YouTube video to erase the crash data and it worked for me. I ended up buying a used Autel scanner for $600 that I will be selling when I am done getting the car completed. I still have knee airbag and left roof airbag to replace and airbag module, two rear seatbelts to have reprogrammed/reset and a headlight that I replaced with a used one that isn't working.

I didn't. Crash data is still on and pretty much all my lights are still on the dash. Waiting to get the everything else completed before I erase crash data and work on getting the lights off. Actually here's a better video, once you get it to inactive it should start after that.

Look at the car lol. A lot! hahaha.
what faults do you still have? Likely the car sat in a wrecking yard and got rained on. water in electronics etc...
Hard to diagnose a wrecked car. Problems are endless.

BTW why would you want to start the engine after a nasty front end wreck like that, apart from checking to see if the engine runs? Don't think you can get any driving done in that condition either
please describe a "ghost immobilzer" . Do you mean like a lojack or something? I highly doubt thats the case. They immobilzed the car when they destroyed the front end. no "ghost" necessary.
what fault codes do you have? if it doesn't even crank there is a code. The ecu disables the car from starting when in a wreck, just like the guy above mentioned. It will need re-enabled.
If you dont have any codes you need a mercedes scan tool. I'm going to say you're probably in over your head, but you already know that and that's why you're here.
also see this, the front rad pack was squeezed pretty close to the engine so i recon starter may have siezed. But upon the crash the vehicle was recovered. Garage tried to start it while it was crashed and squashed. I remember him saying there was little crank bang noise. So my guess is the starter may have blown ?
