I think I initially contacted them in IG and then the rest of the correspondence was thru email.

He finally got back to me on FB. Now it looks like it’ll be another week before he’s got any.

The UPD kits look fancier, but that’s about it.

Actually they are quite a bit different. First thing is that the UPD arms use spherical bearings versus what looks like poly on the F1 arms. This makes a difference in articulation of those joints.

Hardly justifies the $2-300 price difference.

Id rather have the poly anyway, they last longer, and have better road manners.

Ok that’s fine, whatever. I was just trying to help correct your prior post by pointing out that they are indeed different. Sure they’re both threaded rod so I guess they’re similar, as any aftermarket arm would be. Many of us have no need for road manners and would rather have a firmer arm with greater range of motion. I’d be replacing the F1 poly with sphericals anyway before they even got here.

I don’t particularly like the double locking nut design of either as they tend to slip and twist under load. I’m about to take mine out to correct that as well as replace the shïtty cheap sphericals UPD ships with theirs. I might also add that the UPD arms contact the frame on full compression (and only on full compression) and damage the arms - my straight arms each have a 1/4” deep divot taken out of them. I’m going to have to grind down a frame edge while they’re out, and the arms may be trashed depending on what I see when I get them out. When I reached out to ask if they would replace just the arms, they were real dïcks about it, so UPD customer support is about as bad as it gets if that helps make your decision easier.

I have the F1 and they seem good to me. They are quiet with lots of adjustability havent had any issues with them at all.

I am also looking at arms at the moment but would like to hear more reviews on the F1 arms from people that have had them on for a while.

I hear the kmac ones have issues with noise and now as above the UPD contact the frame!

For UPD there's a passenger side tab you need to grind down a bit so the toe arm doesn't make contact. They have instructions apparently that outline this in the install steps.

After I used loctite on all the nuts they seem to be pretty decent and they've been through quite a bit of abuse. Around 6-7 track days so far.

The F1 end links are weak, I ended up replacing their rod ends with FK rod ends.
Customer service was great, I blew the end links and they replaced them, but blew them again later.

I also have the rear adjustable control arm and its held up. Had to use a tiny bit of blue loctite to prevent them from breaking loose.
