Guys, im due an oil change but cant get the oil i have been using anymore the supplier has stopped importing it to the Cyprus. I only used Liqui Moly 5w-40 High Tech. In the summer we have temps outside 45-50 celius which is extremely hot let alone a M156 running temp.

My question is now i have this oils to choose from-

Wurth (been told owns liqui moly) 5w-30 Triathlon Formula L 229.5 spec
Shell Helix Pure Plus 5w-40
Castrol Magnatec 5w-40 299.5 spec
Lucas 5w-40

I was also recommened 10w-60 due to our climate we have. Any expierances?

Which one do you guys recommend for me to replace the Liqui Moly High Tech iv been using. Shall i change oil grade due to our hot climate we have.

So i can't tell you what to run in Cyprus, what I can tell you is that on your list the 5w-30 is not approved, the manual clearly states 229.5 oil spec but only 0w-40 and 5w-40

If you watch Taso's videos on youtube, he is in the UAE and he has some info on running 10W-60 there in the heat.

I would run shell helix 5w-40 or 10w-60 in your area. Just make sure the 10-60 has a decent TBN number and not a specific racing oil.

No 10w30, or better yet, 10w40 options? In those temps, I wouldn't hesitate to run with a higher base weight.
