I recommend you do a patent search for "High Performance Engine Blower/Supercharger Housing" owned by Roush as there is very strong similarities.

This patent? Agree some similarities but looks sufficiently different to my non-legal eyes. No center block, way more raised lines across the top, badging is different but again I'm not a patent lawyer an perhaps this is too close.

The supercharger we are using is a Whipple Supercharger, You should contact them if you have a concern about the blower unit.

I have no concerns about it at all - it does not affect me. I was suggesting that there are a number of Design Patents (Ornamental), some that I authored, that would warrant a look before embarking on expensive tooling.
These patents have no claim to the function (i.e., not relevant to Whipple), they are all about the aesthetics.
To be clear; I have no influence nor inclination to be involved - I only offer the suggestion as a courtesy from previous experience.

You are completely missing the point. We aren't manufacturing/ producing/ or having made a supercharger housing at all.

These, tor example are superchargers sold by Whipple. Which have been sold by whipple for years. The one in the drawing is 3.0l. We arent making that, we have nothing to do with that, we are simply purchasing an off the shelf product. We are making all of the other parts in the drawings above. The Manifold and cover, and the intercooler housing. I guess I can see where you may be confused, but the patent is irrelevant to us. If you have any relevant input that would be welcome, otherwise we would like to keep this thread on topic!

So to be completely and explicitly clear to you, The Light grey parts, Not us. The dark grey parts. Thats us.

We are using the Gen 5 3l. Its is a completely different unit than the 2.9s all together. They are not interchangeable like the old 2.9ls used to be The entire casing has different dimensions

The entire first 10 units are billet, Billet runners, billet lids, Billet core plate. After the first 10 everything will be cast. The first 10 are really just a reward for the 10 customers that are supporting the early release of this product. The billet units really are a work of art.

What will be the cost of the cast kit. What is included in the kit?
