Has anyone successfully order the black series emblem from Mercedes?
I recently purchased a 12 C63 BS and the rear black series emblem is a bit tarnished, so ordered a new one by VIN and it is wrong, tried from a second dealer and still wrong, so started doing some research.
It appears Mercedes is putting the old black series emblem in the new part number bags as there are a few differences. First the angle is wrong to wrap around the AMG emblem as the newer AMG logo has the A sloped on the left side only and it has more angle so the whole logo has more angle where the older logo with a more normal A sloped on both sides has less angle.
Also the older logo has a silver line around the outside but black on both sides of the silver edge line, the one on the C63 BS has the silver to the edge and is wider.
The newer part number I have been ordering is 2048172815 which cross references to the C63 BS and SLS BS only.
The older cars used part number A1718170715 which is what I appear to receive when I order the newer part number - dealer isn't super helpful they are going to open a ticket on it, but seems someone is stuffing the parts bags with the wrong parts in Germany.
I found a few on ebay that show the actual emblem that look to be the correct one and some that look like what I am receiving all listed with the new part number - taking a chance on one of those, not even sure it is genuine, although it says it is and is in the US but not from a dealer on ebay - I could possibly salvage the old one but it bent a bit removing it and would rather just get a new one for the 50 bucks they cost.

Haha and thanks! It is off getting PPF'd, so I only have once pic - Alanite Grey Magno, Exterior Carbon Package, Black Wheels, Performance Media, has the back seats.
Will take some decent pics after it is back.
Also may not technically be a BS anymore since I peeled off the emblem and now can't buy the right one.

Thanks all, one thing I didn’t want is aero as I am too old to drive around with a wing, I do like the canards though, so a really well spec’s car for me and turns out I had seen it as someone in my town owned it for a few years and then it went an hour north for a bit and I bought it from @AKnight55
In lieu of me own pics here is the dealer that sold it a few years ago, they still have all the pics on their site.
That's odd - in the picture of the dash it shows a 3/4 tank full of gas. I don't think I've seen that more than once or twice in my time. And now that gas is over $5 a gallon here, I may never again!
