2010 car that I purchased in 2018... battery finally started showing signs of trouble last month, so I went and swapped it last week. Date stamp was 34/09. Anyone have one last longer?
The guy at Interstate said it was the oldest battery he'd ever changed.
My wifes 99 SLK 230K had its original Merc battery replaced a year before we sold in in 2017!.....beat that! She had only covered 66,000 miles in that time though.
My 13' C63 is still with the original battery. Haven't looked at the date on the terminal though but it certainly must be from 12'
On a side note, my 99' W202 C43 battery gave up the ghost last November 20' and it had the original battery. During winter hibernation it was always on a trickle charger
Well that's beaten my SLK straight away!!!.....but it was never trickle charged and lived outside its whole life....so I claim the moral victory!!! I still see that car around and it still looks/sounds good with no visible rust yet!!
