Buying a 2014 low mileage C63 from Carvana

I ended up having them blasted to bare aluminum and completely refinishing them in bronze powdercoat later that year.

For some reason, the features on the Carvana page don't seem accurate. It seems you actually have a few other cool features they didn't mention.
I see Distronic (adaptive cruise), active blind spot, and lane keep assist. Those were all options.
Even when I bought mine a few years back, Carvana didn't even mention the P31 package, which was confirmed via the datacard.
Looks like you got a pretty well spec'd car. Best of luck with the PPI!

Let us know how the PPI goes. Whatever they find, you should definitely push Carvana to cover the cost. As someone else noted, they seem to be very motivated within that 7-day window to get you to keep the car.
If you traded something in, they have to keep that car sitting around until the 7 day period is over and the deal is final.

hope all goes well at the dealer, ask them for the VMI Vehicle Master Inquiry
it will show what your car is equipped with and all service performed at a Mercedes dealer.
some dealers will only read it to you some won’t even do that just an fyi
my local dealer will only read it to me, but my seller no dealer emailed me a copy
good luck enjoy

i was able to find someone on Reddit that works for MB and he was able to send me the VMI for mine.
Got it and love it! With 19k miles, i believe you got a great deal! Good luck!
Looking to get suspension and then a tune.
Exhaust.... need more research

Battery needs to be replaced but the rest of the vehicle checks out fine and said no signs of rust.
I’m on the fence about keeping this due to paint repairs, especially given the price I paid. I have a body repair specialist looking at it Wednesday and then plan to tell Carvana to fix or reprice the car for me (not sure they’d do that).
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

if not the car was probably worked on by an independent, not that is bad in some cases just means it’s not recorded by MB. But if the body work is sloppy, I would have my doubts.
if you paid market value for the car I give it back

have you read Carvana’s
Reconditioning Standards?
www.Carvana.com/reconditioning-standards
If so we’re the issues stated in the sale, if not I’d still question keeping the car.
Are low mileage C63’s abundant, No
but your 1st post mentioned that the car was
~$51.0, that’s still a fair amount of money for an 8 year old car. At least to me it is
good luck

did the VMI indicate anything about the maintenance history? PM me if you'd like to see an example of what a thorough MB VMI contains
- Rear quarter panel needs repaint $2,073
- Incorrect off brand non Continental tires replaced with correct Continental Extreme Contact $1,457
- Replace battery (declined last service) $427
- Needs Service B $895
- Replace spark plugs $620
- Transmission service $910
- R/F rim is slightly bent on inside
Got a few days left to make a decision.

I think you've got a lower likelihood of getting them to cover the maintenance items (B Service, spark plugs, trans service). They could presumably argue that those services have been performed elsewhere and not at the MB dealer, which is why they don't show up on the VMI. Additionally, it's hard to say that a spark plug needs to be replaced if it is currently functioning properly. Same with the trans if it is shifting properly.
How handy are you? Service B (oil/filter and brake fluid, cabin air filter, wiper blades) is relatively easy and inexpensive (<$200) to take care of yourself. The trans service is about $200 for the fluid, filter gasket, and bolts. Spark plugs are relatively expensive and can be swapped out in about 45 minutes. I'd also add fuel injectors to the list if you're turning your own wrenches. Cheap insurance against an aging injector that might get stuck open.
Edit: the prices above are for the parts and assume you do the work yourself.
in this low supply market they may not do a thing. Dealers have the upper hand right now. If they don’t fix a majority of it I personally might send it back just because of the hassle. That’s what I would do but do what you feel is right.

I'd also push about covering the bent wheel. One of mine was bent too, and Carvana (SilverRock) eventually did approve a replacement wheel, and at full retail which was like $1300 at the time.
Warranty company declined all claims except to spend $150 for wheel so with everything else that's needed, I am not prepared to spend any more money so the car is being picked up in the morning.
I spoke to Carvana and their explanation is they only replace mechanical items if they fail like the wheel. I can agree with them not covering service-related but not covering a failing battery makes no sense.
They do not fix any cosmetic issues. Their summary was they're used cars and we have no way to know how they were treated so we can only go by what's on the CarFax report so no coverage for badly painted quarter panel.
Dealer has a used w205 for sale so might at least test that out to see how it compares.

bought my 1985 Colony Park wagon with 56,000 miles in 2015 only to replace EVERY gasket & seal in the engine, trans & brakes.
I was on MB CPO site the other day and for what you are looking to spend there are much newer AMG sedans out there, so why not go with a MB dealer?
can feel you frustration on a BAD transaction!
