Shop Time for a w204 Esp Module Program
Finally received my C63 module from Lebanon, luckily he had one in stock, he erased the vin from the last owner since its a used part, then he added my c63's vin to it. I was told by him its a fairly simple install since he has the VIN already programmed to my ESP module. I was quoted by a shop for 3+hours is this correct, I was under the assumption it was a quick job, since he already has the VIN married to the ESP module prior to install.
Has anyone here went through this route, im receiving mixed information( a Trend im noticing with these cars smh)

Assume you are talking re the ABS/ESP module.
It is a "simple" plug in/plug out unit. The time taken is to undo the 4 small bolts albeit the lower 2 can be time consuming if you do not have or create the right tool.
I spent an hour initially trying to get mine out so I could send it away for repair. The right tool meant 15 mins to remove and even less time to to put it back. See post 3 in this thread for my "special tool": ESP Module or Speed Sensor ?? - MBWorld.org Forums
Assuming the module is correctly coded then nothing else is required but plugin/out - it either works or it does not work - on that basis at 3+ hours they are bending you over with no lube.

No this is in regard to programming the module, needs to be done via star.
