Car wont start after new PS pump/battery reset?
Hi everyone, I replaced my PS pump yesterday. While bleeding the system with the car off we turned the car on and we missed a bit or serpentine and the PS pump sensor so the car threw a check power steering since we knew what was wrong we turned off the car and fixed both issues.
After this I decided to hard reset the battery by unplugging it for 10 minutes to reset the ecu. I took off the front terminals too that are located in the engine bay passenger side, along with the trunk battery.
Now the car wont start, it locks and unlocks, lights come on, shift in and out of gear although brake pedal is hard. But it doesn't make an attempt to crank over.
I called Mercedes and they said the whole car needs to be reprogrammed? I havent heard of such a thing for a battery reset.
any help would be great thank you

did you disconnect the ground first or the power? did you put the terminal back in the correct spot? My guess is power first and it shorted out somewhere and popped a fuse / prefuse.
