W205 Headlight Retrofit

Hello MBWorld, new poster but I've lurked on this forum for quite some time. I can probably attribute this forum and everyone's projects for finally convincing me to buy my dream car.

However, I'm trying to get into modifying the thing and I'm having a hell of a time. I think the major reason for this is the confusion around the build year for my car. You guys already know, but everyone else thinks my 2015 is the W205 and not the W204, hence this post. I want to upgrade the headlights and thus far I've only encountered headlights that look the exact same as stock with slight variances here and there. Scrolling through Google, eBay directed me to the headlights below.

Now, the eBay garage ASSURES me, that these headlights will fit on my vehicle but they're clearly for the W205s. I like the W205 style, actually recently watched Tavarish modify his S Class with these. But I cannot find any information, other than eBay, on if these would work, or if there's an "official" aftermarket retrofit. So I am turning to everyone here who have been working on this platform far longer than I. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Change your search criteria to 2014 or search for DEPO.

They will not even fit your car, let alone the wiring is probably different. Just search for older year lights as mentioned above.

That's what I guessed but eBay was so adamant that I wanted to ask. My guess is their system, just like others, is based on the build year. 2015 lines up with the other C63 so it assumes it would fit. Oh well. I appreciate the responses however.

Yes the issue is in 2015 they build the w205 and w204 both, so there was a 2015 w204 C63 Coupe only and in 2015 the w205 C63 Sedan started production so it confuses all the systems that the c63 in 2015 was 2 completely different platforms depending on if you had a coupe or sedan.

Go to The Retrofit Source, buy parts, and build your own. The eBay Depo lights are fine for plug-and-play, but they use the absolute cheapest ballasts, igniters, bulbs, lenses, etc. Its a night and day difference compared to high quality components, and you can make them look however you like.
