C63 Black Series and NSX - my perfect pair.
After just over (1) month and about 3,300 miles (not a typo) of time behind the wheel of my 2012 C63 Black Series, I think I may have finally stumbled upon what I consider my perfect pair. Two cars that make me unbelievably happy for their own distinct reasons. The C63 Black Series is the unhinged lunatic when it wants to be, but then can be a family car and haul my daughter and her friends the rest of the time. The juxtaposition of being a sledgehammer and luxury car all at once. My original generation Acura NSX is simplicity and precision, and a throw back to a time where light weight, manual steering, and a focus on driver feel was primary. The ability to have an exotic car that is actually reliable (I have had it for almost 20 years and 270,000 miles), is fuel efficient, yet gives you a connection to it that melds man and machine into one and is a thrill on the track or mountain roads, yet can also be perfectly happy and comfortable on long road trips, is simply mesmerizing. If I added a white CLK63 Black Series, then the triad would be complete. But, lets just say I feel extremely fortunate to have this pair of cars. When I was little, I never imagined this would be possible, but I am very fortunate and blessed that it has happened.
The NSX "was" my dream car. When I finally could afford one I was so excited. Until I went to look at one, and sat in it. I'm 6'4" and my knees were halfway up the steering wheel. Such a disappointment. Then I bought a C32 and have been on the AMG train ever since.

Yes, I am 6 feet tall, and that is close to as tall as you can be without having to bend. On track days, I have to either put in a racing seat or lean back in the OEM seats. But, I still love the car.
