Buying M156, Idle noise check
Hey guys, I am about to purchase my third M156 AMG car (07, 139k miles). The seller sent me this video of it idling, does this sound normal? To me it seems a little louder than my old c63 but doesn't really sound like clacking/ticking from the lifters.
Let me know your thoughts, it runs and drives fine and has no errors.
Let me know if you guys have any issues opening the video, I can upload it to youtube or something if any issues.

To my untrained ear, that sounds like more than one noise to me. I hear the higher pitched clicking of lifters, but I also hear a lower pitched clicking noise in there too. Seems like a lot of valve train noise to me. I doubt codes would show anything

Went ahead and purchased the car since the price was so good. I will take off the valve covers and inspect the cams and lifters and replace if needed. Everything else seems good, hopefully just need to do lifters!

Yeah I was debating doing the adjuster plates but they end up costing a lot since I'm in Canada (our dollar sucks). I'll check to see if they are loose with a wrench, if so I guess I'll have to do them.
Do you know if there are cheaper alternatives to the 63everything plates and titanium screws?
