Posting to get some information from the community and my progress.
Issue started a few months back with just the fuel smell. It would come and go randomly or so I thought. I didn't feel I spilled anything while filling up either. It would mostly smell from the driver side when I exited the car. Then I started to smell it inside on occasion. I scheduled to take my car in to a shop and before then I experienced what felt like a misfire. No CEL but I checked the codes and saw a misfire on cylinder 1. So I left the car alone until I took my car in. Also, I started to notice when I started my car, it would taken a few seconds to turn over. It my be just a coincidence but i had just had an oil change before the starting issues started. Used to start fine even with the fuel smell.
FYI spark plugs were changed last year and i have over 130k miles.
So far indy shop found fuel leaks. I think these are under the front seats.
don't know anything else. Just waiting to see what else could be wrong.
I've read through some other threads and i saw that some other models had an extended warranty on the fuel tank or something. I'm assuming the c63 wouldn't get that.
Update: replaced left fuel pump. There was a leak/crack. Also had to replace a gasket on the fuel line. No fuel leak now but had leaked lots of fuel out the bottom while driving. Almost a quarter tank.
Tried to start but there was misfire. Now the car won't start.
