I did, finally but technically, he never refunded the money but the credit company did through a chargeback. Mode Carbon / Sam took my money and never delivered the ordered products and never refunded my money either. The real issue here is that he's never followed through - either on the original order (from last summer or after he acknowledged he failed. He's sent emails back in January claiming he would make things right by sending complimentary replacements which he never has and has publicly replied on here with the same lies yet to do this day, I have NEVER received product from him. Ok so everyone has their money back. But not “complimentary” product or whatever else he promised. Just end this already then. It doesn’t even matter. You’ve all been made completely whole money-wise and yes, have gone through a lot of aggravation, but beating this guy up even more to now get free product is super lame. Let him rot in his own situation that he’s created.

Making customers use credit card companies to get refunds all while this disgusting vendor keeps what he stole from the customers and their banks. Nobody should expect anything from mode other than to see them get kicked off the forums by decent mods….

Come on moderators, show us what makes you a value to the team! Or, please turn in your badge and get some real mods to help out! I’ve been talked to from mods over defending myself from a bad character on the forum, you’d think they would do more to someone stealing from their members. Perhaps the mods are in collusion with Mode?

Good point. But that’s above their pay grade. Only the mods and or admins can boot this loser. IB isn’t really known for taking the high road over money though.

And by the way, Mode’s reputation has been pretty well known for some time. Something something about doing your research and commercial Darwinism….

Chargebacks were made. Refunds were issued. Now the CC companies will go to battle with this jerk and may or may not ask people for evidence. There is a process to these things.

What I don’t understand is these people who are ripped off not continuing this out of a sense of justice, but to not only get their money back but also free product at the end of the day. Something doesn’t smell right about any of this. I think it’s peobably just a case of a bunch of aholes yelling at each other and threatening on both sides.

This thread needs to be taken down. Both customers that were unsatisfied got their money back. The other two customers received replacement under warranty.

I was attending a family wedding - my sisters and had limited access to internet. I was receiving medical attention (blood work, ekg and cat scans for my car accident)

I am seeing my doctor tonight for signatures to sign off on a lawsuit with the hospital in America.

You've plenty of other customers out there who've yet to receive refunds or parts Sam. A car accident from 2020 doesn't excuse not shipping a spoiler I ordered in February 2023 by 2024, and flat out refusing to refund me.

You never refunded my money - I had to get my money back through a chargeback. You not only failed to deliver product, you also spectacularly failed at delivering on your promise to "make it right". Not sure how you manage to stay in business.

I have sent emails, which went unreplied. I then found and messaged you on Instagram, and got either no replies or 'it's finished' 'it's shipped' with no tracking numbers supplied when asked for. I asked for a refund, you refused. I have screen shots of the entire conversation including you laughing at me which i can post. The fact of the matter is, talking to you in private gets me no closer to getting my money back, so now I'm airing it in public to hopefully put off anyone else from making the mistake I did which was dealing with you Sam.

rude towards the end? No man you put up with one of the most unprofessional dealings I have ever seen. The fact you kept giving him the benefit of the doubt for so long was tough to read, you have a lot more patience than I did. The sheer arrogance of this kids carbon guy is crazy, to reply so koy and display absolutely zero interest in helping you is damning. No one should ever buy anything from this guy

I love the excuse “I was in the hospital for health reasons”
I might use a version of that if needed, like “I avoid the hospital for health reasons”
If MBWorld has a commercial account with a business entity, maybe they should set money aside that company pays them for disputes such as these.
If they are not willing to do that, then they shouldn’t allow that business to have an account on the forum.

I missed a couple off the end but yeah, I can be pretty patient for the most part and I get things don't always go to plan, that's fine if it's made right. All I've had from Sam is arrogance, I'm a fool for using bank transfer but it is what it is, I'm not really expecting to get anything at this point, but I don't see why he should continue to operate as if he's a proper business. He's happy to advertise and promote items he can't deliver, it's not right.

Sam's responses sound like a broken AI bot. He should be banned. There's absolutely no way any vendor should treat a customer like this. It's as if he was doing it just to F with you on purpose.

I really want one of of the CF grille bars for my E63S but not enough to get cornholed for it.

Lesson learned by all about bank transfers to pay for stuff that you do not physically have in your hand. AMEX backs you up with scammers like this (as do most credit cards and PayPal in my experience). If someone I don’t know wants Friends and Family or a bank transfer, the answer is a hard NO.
