FYI the BBB is a waste of an e-mail as they literally have zero control over what a business does. They exist to protect the businesses, not you. Your states Attorney General is limited as well since the business is in a different state and outside their jurisdiction. Gotta pay by credit card. End of story.
Most CCs have a time limit, 2 months or so. If Mode charged the CC when they're supposed to (at time of shipment) then no problem. But Mode charges immediately and then there's month after month of "it's ready to ship" "tomorrow" and "soon".

They do but if you have written communication from the vendor as to when it’s supposed to ship and they don’t meet that term of the agreement, you have something to stand on with the credit card company. Other option is to immediately dispute the charges since the product did not ship… force the vendor to charge you when the product ships and not before.

I don't understand what a 4 year old crash has to do with a part I ordered last year? If its causing you so many issues years later that you can't operate your business and fulfill obligations, you shouldn't be advertising. I've also crashed a 5 series worse than this, car bent like a banana round a telegraph pole at 90mph, and I've yet to scam anyone.
