Replace oillevel sensor without taking engine out.
So i figure i´ll share my way even though it might at first glance not be the absolute best way of doing it.
But it actually works really fine, and doesn´t disturb anything in engines function.
Sorry no pics of actual installation but this just came to mind this morning after i have 'closed the lid' on the engine so to speak.
I made a sturdy bracket in 7075-T6 aluminium and used the two most rearmost middle bolts inside the pan to bolt it into the upper part of the pan.(i try to schetch it in paintbrush in the above picture)
Oem bolt are torx m6x20mm
I used new allen bolts m6x25 to make room for the 'adapter/bracket'
It needs to be spaced down 67mm from the surface that the oem bolts are clamping onto.
The newer engine with different height on the sensor i cannot say how much to space it, but someone can sure calculate that from my 67mm.
Then just two short bolts m6x15mm to bolt sensor into the bracket.
Finally i cut the oem cable as near the original mounted sensor as possible and used a duraseal crimp connector to connect to the new sensor.

Amg made those funny metal sponges that hinges it somewhat a little bit softer than solid mounting as i did.
But, now it´s easy peasy to change the sensor again if needed, they are quite cheap.
Or, one could buy those 'sponges' from Mercedes and again calculate the space they need.
This will be revision 1.1 if my sensor fails in short period of time.
