What are you currently using? I now have 3 Mercedes 2009 C63, 2012 C300 4Matic, and a 2012 Glk 350 4Matic and looking to upgrade in the $500 range. Thanks

Launch or Autel if you want a lot of functionality, but plan to spend 700+

Foxwell or icarsoft MB specific scanners for light functionality (codes and resets but no teach in procedures) for under 200 bucks.

I have a Launch 7 - was around $400 and is bi-directional and has done everything I've needed it to do including resyncing the sunroof. Its not as intuitive as some of the higher priced scanners, but with patience you can find nearly everything you need it to do - cam phase, TCM, ABS, etc. Hasn't let me down yet and they are constantly updating it. I've also used it extensively on my Audi with similar experiences.

Short of the long - same functionality of the more expensive units at the expense of having to work a little harder to find all the functions.

Nice that is a deal, didn't know of that one, I have the X431 diagun and have been very happy with it, paid in the mid 700's for it but it is a nice form factor and does everything I have needed including teach in procedures like cam adjuster process (also a bit hard to find and use I have to admit) and is nice as their is no additional cost for other models, so also can do injector programming on my BMW or battery registration seems like it can do anything I ever seem to need. Before it I had the Foxwell which was good enough for regular code resets, could reset SRS also and live data for things like reading trans temp for fluid changes but no coding or teach in processes.
