Unhooking the battery overnight does SOMETHING

I put a tune on my 2012 c63 from eurocharged. The transmission was shifting SUPER early. I was getting bucking at takeoff in all transmission modes. I unhooked the battery overnight and today the transmission shifts much higher than it did previously. No bucking.

i know there is a lot of back on forth on here about the transmission adaptations, and I don’t know that disconnecting the battery did anything to that specifically, but it absolutely changed the behavior of the car for the better.

just my experience. Maybe it can help someone in the future. Or maybe it’s all in my head

you can also reset the adaptiveness of the transmission as well. people would usually do this w/ every new tune they get

- insert key
- turn to rdy (before crank)
- press accelerator to floor for 5-10 seconds
- turn key off (key still in)
- release pedal
- wait 2 min

that should reset

I’ve been told this is a procedure to reset the throttle position sensor.
I’ve done it in the past and I have not noticed a difference

it is actually the procedure to reset the throttle adaptations so it tends to make the throttle feel a bit more crisp and less lazy depending on how it has adapted to your driving style.
