That ding can be easily fixed if it's the only thing you're talking about. Even if they can't just push it out, a little bit of bondo and a respray - which you'd need anyway with a new hood - is all that is needed, so why are you looking for a new hood?
In Manitoba we have public auto insurance and preliminary evaluation they want to write the vehicle off. I’m exploring my options. The hood, roof, trunk lid, drivers side lower skirt, and mirror are all damaged.
