MBH Headers
Hey hope everyone is doing well. Im looking to get headers for my 2012 c63 coupe. I want to know the difference between https://www.mbhmotorsports.com/produ...rt-c63-headers these and https://www.mbhmotorsports.com/produ...g-tube-headers these. Both are long tube headers im just confused as to what the difference is. Also looking to get an intake if anyone has any suggestions. Thank you!

Sorry I meant to put this link https://www.mbhmotorsports.com/produ...g-tube-headers, instead of the link I put for the right hand drive headers. Thank you

Oh. The more expensive one is a 4-2-1 style header, the cheaper one is a 4-1 style header. Just google search the difference if you aren't familiar. I'm not sure what the specific trade off's are in HP and torque for these are, maybe someone else has experience with them.

those Chinese/Taiwanese designed 4-1 headers are MID LENGTH and do not flow as well as Long Tube Headers thus will make less power. the headers themselves aren't bad quality, it is simply that they are mid length and for optimal power you'll need long tube headers if that is what you're looking for. Their hand built 4-2-1 headers are sort of between mid and long tube headers and make good power.

I have the MBH tri-Y (4-2-1) longtube headers, and the power increase over the stock manifolds really wasn't that dramatic. Noticeable but nothing crazy.
Whatever the horsepower advantage is from one style to the other, you're probably not gonna feel it, IMO.

you'll need a tune to pair with. MBH header cars can receive 4 degree's more ignition timing which is easily 10-15whp at the low end of gains.

I do have some pretty hefty HFCs, so I'm probably leaving some power on the table there. And I'm at ~2000' above sea level. Don't know how much that actually matters. Honestly not too concerned with it. The car is already fast enough to get me in trouble, and the roads here are all curvy 🤷🏽♂️
