Hello everyone, I’m new to the site here. I m experiencing some weird issues with my engine. I have a 12’ C63 coupe with 99k miles. When I start it up, it idles normal then starts vibrating like someone is putting a massage gun to the engine to make it buzz. On occassions engine make a thumping noise while idling. I don’t have any codes when I run a scanner. Wanted to know if anyone has experienced anything similar? I have attached the link to a short clip.

Engine mounts. Look in the engine bay to see if they maybe even burst. Looks for a fluid that looks dark purple. It’s not much fluid in each but you might be able to see some on the silver part of the engine mounts.

 

Likely the engine mounts are worn out and the exhaust may be banging against something under the car making a thumping noise.

 

Like the other members said, check for fluid or stains on the side of the engine mounts. You can also check for engine movement by power braking in drive. If you have more than 1/2 inch of movement, your engine mounts are bad. If you find that you need to replace your engine mounts, we offer aftermarket polyurethane engine mounts and transmission mounts for your platform. Unlike other polyurethane engine mounts, ours will mimic OEM vibration levels, but will also offer solid support for the engine under load.

Engine mounts are a VERY common problem for the W204, and any factory fluid filled mounts will have a limited lifetime in these cars.
