So i got a 2014 c63 with catless headers row boxes afe dry filters fe exhaust and ptg injectors 900cc and flex fuel kit. So i was driving it normal today and i looked down and i seen the engine light on but the car felt normal. I ran the codes and bank one and two were lean. One of my friends said its because the weather in Chicago is cold rn thats the reason why its throwing those codes. Can anyone help me?

Shouldn't have to do with the weather. It appears that you are actually running lean; you want to address this before causing potential damage to your engine.

Otherwise
-> Purge valve
-> Air filters
-> bad gas

 

Ill check the filters might be gas i did pump some before it came on how would i know if the purge valve is going bad?

i did contact them and they told me to run the tune program and see if any codes come up.

 

I’d also say air/vacuum leaks in the intake tract plus exhaust leaks before the O2 sensors too. Both worth checking for.

 

yeah ill do that tomorrow i doubt i have any leaks on the exhaust. Im wondering if one of the spark plugs went bad after the bigger injectors install. I havent changed them like 3 yrs ago i want to say but i dont drive my car a lot at all.

 

on my 2009, don’t know if yours is the same, but I get this code when the vacuum line comes off the rear, firewall side of the cylinder head, very common.

 

Probably bad mapping. Get that checked also
