Finished DIY Plugs, Coil Packs and Injectors! OOOPS!
Plugs
Coil Packs
Injectors
LSD Flush
Creative Steel Transmission Mount
Took a total of 5 hours to do everything (Taking my time) and using jack stands.
Extremely easy to do (I say that now.... More on that later)
I had to get replacement filters and they didn't show up till today and I also had to make my own MAF clip as I dropped 2 down into the engine bay and was only able to recover 1.
Filters arrived (AFE Pro Dry) and I buttoned everything up and started it. Everything sounded great! But after about 5 mins when I sat in the car idle was a tad rough.... I attributed that to the transmission mount being new and much stiffer (Wrong)
I let it idle for another 5 mins then I took it down the street car was very rough running and the CEL came on and started flashing (Only drove it 100meters)
During this time I was questioning why I did this DIY and kicking myself
Took it home scanned it and it said Cylinder 5 misfire Injector circuit Cyl 5 open
OOOPS! I forgot to plug the #5 injector harness in!!! (In my defense it was hidden under the fuel rail harness and I must have confused myself when I plugged that in and assumed I did the injector under it too.
Anyhow thank god it was easy to get to and didn't have to take the strut bar and intake off again.
Cleared the codes fired it back up and took it once more down the street.
Everything is so silky smooth now. Feels more responsive and a touch more OOMPH!
(See video at the end)
So yes a successful "easy" DIY
