Heavy power steering

Hello,

My c63 power steering feels heavy, i have changed the Steering Reservoir bottle new oil but its still feels heavy, what can i do to fix this?? Pump dieing?? But it has no winning now it used too then i got adviced to change oil made no difference

1 week ago my AC cooling coil went bad had to remove the dash to replace it after that power steering been heavy

Its like driving a truck, my power steering is like working 50% its not super heavy but heavy enough that i start sweating

Let me know any solutions please !!

Since this happened right after work was done, it’s 100% the speed sensor on the top of the transmission has been unplugged or the wires cut or something. Start there.

shouldn't that had thrown a cel ? But ill check that the power steerings works but its heavy like i feel its working 50% lol

anyways ill check and report back

No but the module would have a code stored. It's electronic hydro assist so the hydro assist is variable. If you unplug the connector at the rack (which I do for the track for better steering feel) no CEL just the module stores an open circuit code or something and the assist is much lower.

Thanks guys problem solved , the angle sensor was not at zero , after we zeroed it put the power steering is soft again

How did you zero the sensor? I have an odd low speed heavy steering feel after some routine work that didn't touch any steering stuff.

Use a scanner tool possibly xentry and go to power steering setting and zero it out you can find many videos on YouTube on how to do it im sure OP did the same, was your steering taken off? Thats the only time you might have to zero it again,

have you tried changing the oil reservoir? It has. Filter that clogs up new oil is the pump making any unwanted sounds?
