So recently i bought a c63 amg had no noise at all but now it has a tap noise that comes and goes when it’s cold it’s gone and when it warms up it just taps on the driver side and it starts let my know your guys thoughts please and I also pulled the cover off and everything looks brand new, they said it got done about 5k miles ago please lmk what you think

I'll be honest, it doesn't sound great. Take off the valve covers and inspect the cam lobes and lifters.

Check your oil levels make sure it’s full.

Is it louder in top at the bottom of engine - listen in the front wheel well

could be a bearing or a bent rod if towards the bottom


have you scoped the cylinders? Wonder how your pistons are doing ... the rings etc ... thinking of piston slap
