Hey, gang! I wanted to check and see if anyone on here has any leads or resources that may either have a new, or good condition used, RennTech Carbon Fiber air intake for the M156 engine sitting around on a shelf, or someplace that is parting out a car and may have one? I know RennTech is planning to make them again, but likely not anytime soon. So, I would like to get one, as it is the only missing part that I cannot get for my 2012 C63 Black Series.

Any ideas on where to look are greatly appreciated. Thanks, gang!

Happy motoring!

The last time I checked these were still available. Bidding on these ended last year at $1.9k so I'm assuming the seller wanted more. good luck with your search

Yes. I am in the same boat. I buy directly from RennTect to avoid scams too, so I am hoping they are available again by Spring 2025.

Yes, I saw that. I may reach out to him and see if I can have someone local check it out if it is still available so I know it is legitimate.

FYI for the group....RennTech advised me that they do plan to make these again, as there is suitable demand, but it likely won't be until midway into 2025.

So, I am still looking for one if anyone has a lead on one, or has one they want to sell, please. Thank you.

try hitting up Richard, he's got another 204BS in the same spec as yours but in silver, just under two thousand miles on that car, hardly see why he'd even need the mods on it, but the term "like-new" can't be more true than the condition of his

fast forward to around 6:50 mark of his video to see it:

Hey, gang! Anyone who is also like me and waiting eagerly for these to be reproduced by RennTech, I called again a couple of weeks ago and they are looking at spring 2025. Hopefully with some additional pleading from the Mercedes community, we can get that a bit sooner. But wanted to keep the group up to date. Have a great day!

Thank you for staying on this, Mitch!

I've eased up on bumping the topic with RENNtech while waiting for more data on the Blackboost intake to come in...but I'm not finding anything near conclusive enough to try it out.

So long as the next run of RENNtech intakes are of the latest design (which flow better than earlier revisions and have those metal mounting hole sleeves for strength), I'm likely in.

Interesting to know if RENNtech would be up for a group buy with a reasonable discount. Between the forums and FB groups, good chance to drum up a nice list.

RENNtech just re-introduced production of their intakes for the M119, M113 and M113K. The M156 one is probably not too far out.

They're in process of reproducing the M156 intake's is my understanding. They were having trouble finding the right supplier as the M156 intake is more complicated.
