09 C63 bricked , no cluster , no crank , battery good !
Hello Everyone ,
I have a 09 C63 with 176k miles which I absolutely love, however a few months back it decided to go on strike.
I have had a no issue last year that involved the steering lock but that was addressed , my locksmith installed the steering lock emulator and I didn’t have issues up until December of last year.
I drove it last year for its yearly inspection , came home and parked it for a hour. Went back out to the car, stuck key in, key turns in ignition but nothing happens.
1.cluster does not come on at all even with key turned to position two
2.battery is fine , key able to lock and unlock the car with buttons on the key.
3. I tried with a 1000watt battery jumper and still same issue.
4.i had the key checked on a mercedes key tester and it tested good .
My locksmith who installed the emulator does not think it’s the emulator, most of the independent shops here think that it’s the emulator but no one has checked the car physically .
I scanned the car with a snap on scanner on these were the codes
U102700 not relevant
U103100 Diagnostic Interior CAN Bus OFF Fault
U002000 Interior CAN Bus OFF Fault.
No codes present for steering lock or eis
Any ideas on where to start with this guys? Could it be a relay or main fuse ? I’m planning on trying my best to figure this out on my own.
Another side fact , the command screen on the same day the car bricked itself was stuck half open . Car is not a keyless go equipped model.
any words of wisdom would be kindly appreciated and valued !

Guys anybody? Please any insight would be appreciated .
I understand it could be a key problem , I only have one key so it’s possible it could be a bad key.
I did more testing today , tested all fuses with a voltmeter and found continuity with all regular fuses . Only fuse that was burned was the front lighter socket .
so I am about to pull eis, and emulator and have my locksmith bench test it to confirm it’s is the key or it’s not.
the odd thing is I get no reaction at all from the cluster , only when door is open and lights turned on .
I can stick any mercedes infrared key into the ignition and have it turn to the start position, any insights as to what that means?
