Hi guys 👋🏻
I want to upgrade the rear brakes to 360mm. I ordered the rear calipers from the Black series. What should I do with the brake rotors?
Who made this mod, please help.

The E63 rotors won't fit. They have too much offset.

Easiest way is to get some hats (either aftermarket or factory p31 that came with the 2 price rotors and get bigger discs. A few places make some with rotors like racingbrake. Can get a complete kit or you could inquire about just the rears

SLS rotors have a 1mm longer offset than the stock ones. But the SLS has larger handbrake pads as C63 BS.

Nope, which is why you need to get the correct disc thickness on the 360mm from another car, then scrap the brake bell/hat and make your own with an internal shorter diameter so the handbrake still works. Thats the only way as no W204 ever (even the black series) came with a two piece rear disc.

If i put the handbrake pads and shields from BS, will the brake discs from SLS fit? I've attached a diagram above

Happy New Year, everyone! 🤘🏼🎅🏼

We made a new centre for Brembo rotors, how much Nm Torque need to fix rotor screws with the hub?

14nm, how much did it cost you for the new centre hats? Did you make the inside 165mm like I said?

Also if you didn’t use a steel insert on the inside you need to get them hard anodised or the internal handbrake pads will get ruined.

Thank you very much!
About 800$. Yes, the inside size is like a regular C63. Fully anodised.
I'm waiting for a brake calipers from BS at the end of the month and will install it.

No worries, yeah seems about right price, make sure they are HARD anodised though as they need that internally to stop the handbrake shoes wearing down stupid quick, the hard anodised make it so they don’t wear down quick, if you look at stock discs they have a steel insert, if you were to put a steel insert on the new brake hats it would cost half the amount again.

What material did you make your center hub?
Did you make yours with a steel insert?

I was going to put a steel insert in but the company who made mine said if you HARD anodised them you don’t have to. They make parts for Singer so I trusted what they said instead of spending more on a steel insert which they could have done too.

Google, hard anodized vs anodized

Yes, I'll take a look, thanks.
You made them out of aluminum, right?
