1986 Light Ivory R107 560SL, 2020 Lunar Blue W205 C300 AMG-line
Proof of concept (not permanent). I did not like it at first, it grew on me over a week and I then went back to stock. If going forward with powder coating you'd want to remove the aero blades prior and do something different with the center caps.
I also just hit 1,000 miles today and got to try race start a couple of times. The sound is super cool despite some reviewers nay saying

Maybe a gun metal grey? It wouldn’t be too dark as I think the black might be a little too dark, but it would still tie in everything really well. Or maybe even a dark bronze? I’m a huge sucker for bronze wheels, I love the contrast they provide and they haven’t been overdone yet.
Overall the car looks great! Race start sounds so fun, I’m starting to get jealous. I need to stop myself from getting ideas because before I know it I’ll end up with one…

You will need to pay to unlock track pace to measure 0-60
I basically agree with all your points. Diamond cut/machine faced wheels have never been my favorite especially when paired with dark finishes but it seems many like them. On this car in this finish they are okay. And I totally agree - the black seemed more fitting by the end of the first week.
Race start was pulling almost 1g of acceleration which was enough to keep opening the sunroof shade lol
Looking at your post I was a little taken aback at the black wheels at first and it grew on me within a matter of seconds, it helps tie in all the black accents really well. I’m starting to get bored of diamond cut wheels as every automaker seems to be doing them. Looking back at your earlier post with the exposed diamond cut wheels, it almost looked like something was out of place after seeing it with the black.

I bought it from an MB parts store. https://www.mbpartscenter.com/oem-pa...y-sign-8170708
There are plenty of reputable places though

Hey, quick question for you: that rear spoiler that's part of Studio pack that I bought separately, I put it on, but it doesn't hold, it keeps coming apart especially under the sun.
Do I need a stronger tape than the one it came with? Any ideas?
Thanks.

Very impressive! All out range is very important to me as I don’t like stopping on road trips. I can get about 620 out of my W205 C300 which I find to be very impressive. 570 miles out of an AMG is even more so! Must be that big 17.5 gallon tank

little photo dump. Only thing that has gone wrong with my car is this issue: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ss-2023-a.html
^This seems VERY common. Symptoms started with the sound of rubber creaking in the b pillar and then opening the rear door and the trim failing. I was able to send pictures in to my service center so replacement parts on on order.

Issues I've had with the car:
Dash Screen delaminating
Sunshade sliding open under hard acceleration and closing under hard braking
Rattles from dashboard and door cards
Driver passenger door seal failing
Constant Buzzing from Passenger B pillar
Brake's still vibrating under hard deceleration when stopping from highway speeds
Surging when covering the brake to inch forward in traffic
Transmission bucking when accelerating from a stop and when downshifting into first gear
When receiving text through apple carplay it sounds like the speaker is blown (no way to adjust volume specifically)
ISOFIX cover broken
Random CEL's
CEL from rear axle steering failure (seems to be related to when one of the rear wheels is not touching the ground) - this is happening when ground is changing pitch drastically over a small area
They have replaced the driver passenger door seal twice now (also the passenger side), added felt tape to a few areas to help with rattles/buzzing. They have replaced all 4 rotors in an attempt to fix the brake issue and have ordered, the ambient lighting strip is broken in passenger door card and the dealer has ordered that part to address further rattles.
Major issue that is still unfixed is the vibrating under hard deceleration. Brakes function well but the entire car shakes when braking hard from highway speeds.
10k miles and first service interval completed.
