I ordered mine on April 27th, on June 2nd my order was accepted with a build date of first week of September. Today I got an update that my build date moved to the second week of September. We are getting closer! I can't believe it's been already 4 months since I placed the order. I'm hoping for October-November delivery!?!?

BTW, why did you ordered on April?
In April, I guess you could have some choices from dealer's lot.
My case, I have no choice from any dealers.

My dealer had a bunch of C43's when I placed the order, but none had the spec I wanted. I figured if I'm going to spect this much money on a car it should be the exact spec I want, but now the wait is killing me..

Same here.
My dealer had few of them but color and options are not I wanted.
I would like to ordered with sterling blue with siena brown, but they are not offering those color combination for 2024 models.
So I chose white and brown color combination.

The red interior was good too but red was tooooooooooo red... lol
Time is killing me!!!! I want to get lid of my bmw for new c43!

I started with a late Feb order with a May Build Date; mid-March it was moved to September; in April it was still a September Build now as a 2024; and then towards the end of May it was moved to an August 4th Build Date. 6/9: Dealer said the order is now locked with a 8/8 date; heated steering wheel not available in my build cycle. As of today, my build status still shows 8/8 ;-( My dealer states "They have not updated anything for us yet. It still shows production date 8/8, but nothing after that to let us know if it has been produced or not (I'm guessing not). I know we have a couple at the port in Long Beach waiting for a steering wheel part, but they haven't given us any update on the vehicles currently in production. I will let you know as soon as we get an update, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are waiting for parts to finish production.". The wait continues and I'm not sure what to think of MB build status dates... I hope you guys have better luck with your Build Dates as September is not that far away.

OMG sorry to hear that.
I think your August build not built yet I guess. so it might be due to part shortage or something...
If your build is delayed, then Sep, Oct, Nov build will be postponed consecutively...
So bad news.

Is your dealer updated any yet?
Did you get your VIN number?

Dealer just sent me an update. Car is now reported as built with a VIN ;-) However, no final pricing yet. Progress... Build status reporting is interesting... was just showing an 8/8 Production Build Date, then changed to Built with a VIN.... I'm in AZ, so it will go to the Long Beach VPC. Now looking forward to hear what boat it's on to track shipment.

I heard that new c43 will have AMG hood emblem from 2024 model year.

The only option delete is the credit for $215 - 894 Enhanced Ambient Lighting. And the heated steering wheel wasn't available for my build cycle. I'll had not heard about the hood emblem for 2024? If AMG, then great ;-)

Takes about 2 weeks to build the car. If the MY24 hasn't been released in the US. I wouldn't get too excited. They held the MY23 SL for months for one reason or another. Some speculated that it was to liquidate current MY22 inventory.

I have the same credit for enhanced ambient lighting on my PO but in the ordering guide it says it excludes AMG. I’m hoping the C43’s do come with it and only the C300’s get impacted. I also ordered heated steering wheel, if mine does not come with it, I’m definitely going to miss it. Used it every single day last winter in my previous car.

I hope our ordered c43 will come with enhanced ambient lighting.
The MB ambient lighting system is one of big charming and buying point for the people to purchase MB vehicles.

I ordered mine with 19" rims because better ride quality and the look as well.
I'm in Texas so there will be few severe weather days in winter in Texas.
I will ride summer tires in winter time because I have alternative all season tire attached audi a5 awd.

But north eastern states may need to switch to winter tires I guess..

Got 20'' planning to switch to AMG 18 with Michelin performance winters.
Would not advise running high performance summers in snow / ice or sub freezing weather

The winter here in NJ was so weak last year, I had a Jeep Wrangler and it didn’t even see any snow. I can always borrow my brothers truck if it snows bad, so might not make sense to spend thousands on winter wheels and tires.

Yes if you got an alternative then no. There was not even an inch of snow last winter up here either, but usually, it's not the case.

IMO, If you need alternative wheel set, then I would not get OEM one.
It's expensive and ugly for me.

I am waiting for tirerack to see if something is available. It's a new car so they need to test it to make sure it would clear the brakes and stuff.
Need to be careful though as the quality varies.

I had the same credit on my order, but as of my last update a few weeks ago, the build date slipped from Oct 17th to Nov 7th, but now all options are confirmed and there's no more shortage issues.

I don't have an updated order showing it, but it was implied. When I requested an updated copy of the order back in July after requesting a minor adjustment to the specs, my dealer specifically pointed out the credit for ambient lighting, stating "there may be a shortage of some parts for that feature" and then a few weeks ago when I received an update on my build date slipping into November from its original October estimate, he noted "a few weeks delay, but all options are confirmed, no shortage issues".
