How long were you waiting for the car? I have a feeling he may be saying the 15, but Im not sure it will be actually ready for pick up on that date.
Fingers crossed for you though if you havnt chosen a diff car yet.

The web-site will not give you a discount off of MSRP or offer financing. Best to deal with the dealers. Build-out the car on MBZ web-site. Present to sales managers. Get at least 3 quotes from 3 seperate dealers to see what the highest discount off of MSRP you can get. In this maket you do not have to buy at MSRP. I have already built-out my 2024 SL55 but the dealer will not yet discuss pricing & I will not put down a deposit until I know what his discount is off of MSRP. At that time I will check pricing with other dealers.
When do you plan on going to get financing? Is the general expectation that MB financial will have competitive rates / terms (no prepayment penalty)?

Well, now that we are into March. Ordered 2024 C43 has been sitting at port since early November 2023 so going on almost 4 months...
MBUSA configurator is still showing the 2023 C43.
Cars.com is showing 21 2023 C43s still left in the USA. Hopefully, that means that we are getting close to 2024 models getting released.

You guys might want to think about contacting the new MBUSA boss and express your frustration. He posts on LinkedIn boasting how great everything is, might want to reply to him there.

It seems we might not be the only ones unable to purchase a MB that's just sitting around... was browsing the forums on what other cars might be impacted by recent recall for the C43s and stumbled across this post that S classes are also not able to be sold: https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...l-s-class.html
31K cars with possible bad main fuse boxes... I would definitely want this to be replaced before taking delivery since recall came out long after car was manufactured mid-late last year...

Is MB stopping sales on all of the impacted models until they get things corrected??

There was someone in the GLC forum who apparently test drove the 2024 GLC 43 this week in South Florida. Hopefully that bodes well for a release soon.

Yes, the 2024 GLC43s were released for sale maybe a week or a week and a half ago. My local dealer has two, I didn't test drive but I poked around with it. Nothing major to report, it's basically exactly what you'd expect.

I have a deposit in on a 2024 c43 that is at the port of Baltimore. My salesman called yesterday and said he still hasn't heard anything about a release date, but is anticipating sometime soon. Will M-B do the recall before they release the cars?

How much was your deposit to secure the allocation / build and get the process started? Looking to place an order very soon, will place as soon as my dealer gets more allocations

The car I'm buying was built and allocated to another dealership. My dealer worked out a trade for one of their allocations and I gave them a $1,000 deposit to commit it to me. As soon as M-B releases the c43's the car will ship to my dealer and I will take delivery. Since M-B hasn't officially published the MSRP, I don't know what the final price will be. The dealer gave me a 'build sheet" that shows the VIN and the prices for all the options on the car. The only thing missing is the base price of the vehicle. This car was equipped very close to how I would have ordered one, so rather than wait 5 - 6 months to have one built and shipped to the US, I decided to go ahead and pay for a couple of options I wouldn't have chosen, and take my second choice in exterior color.

Nice, that makes sense. Congrats man. I've been quoted $1k from one dealer for a deposit and another wants $5k to secure an allocation.
What made you decide to go with this new C43 versus maybe a used 63 or something else in a similar price bracket? Been thinking through this a lot myself. I'm pretty sold on this new C43 as well, but would be interested to hear your thoughts

I've had a long run of owning performance cars, including a 911S, XKE, 5 Corvettes, and a few others that were either sporty or surprisingly fast. Now that I'm in my seventies, I decided that I wanted somthing that had some luxury, was comfortable for daily driving, but still had enough power to keep it interesting. First, I drove a c300, and even though it was nice enough inside, it really wasn't much fun. I considered BMW M340i, but based on the research I did, the c43 seemed like a better fit for me for about the same price. This will be my first M-B, so I'm not really sure what to expect. I hope they worked out most of the bugs in the c43 during the 2023 MY. I will be very disappointed if this car ends up having a lot of maintenance issues. Luckily, my wife (of 53 years) likes fast cars almost as much as I do.

That's awesome, congrats. Very interesting how we're at very different stages of life (I'm mid-20s) but are both targeting the same car. While I imagine we'll spec differently, cool to see

Awsome - how did you configure it?
Mine is Graphite Grey Metallic, Sienna Brown/Black leather, driver assistance pkg, AMG night pkg, Pinnacle line AMG real performance sound, heated & ventilated front seats, panorama sunfoofadvanced USB pkg, heat & noise-insulating glass, silver diamond dash & console, and a credit for enhanced ambient lighting (which I guess wasn't available when my car was built).

Hear anything further from your dealer as to release and delivery dates? Mine, as many on this discussion, has been sitting in Baltimore VPC since early January. It's uncanny how MB treats release dates as a state secret.
