Spoke about it before, but sharing this for those still shopping.
Dealers are having a hard time selling the cars. California for example they arent moving.
Dealers offered me 11% off msrp, just out the gate without negotiating.
Just a heads up for all.

Lol. In NJ, they act like I'm crazy when I mention just MSRP even though I can see their inventory has not budged one bit. I'm going to wait out until they start offering me the type of discount you see in Cali.

Yeah I think this is still heavily dependent on your region. Down here in the Southeast (I’m in FL) there’s around 65 new C43’s within a 500 mile radius of me. When I bought mine about 2 weeks ago there were roughly 90, and I was able to get about 2k off MSRP. So looks like they’re starting to sell slowly but only time will tell

What location?
I got 9-10% off in SoCal, not very many options available. Most are without night package or bare minimums. Aero is basically non-existent.
Mine has core stuff except Driving Assistance Package and Aero.
Some dealers laughed at me, including for the GLC when I asked for 10%, stating that’s more than employee discount.

Thats exactly what I’m doing, my pops is in Germany, he’s checking to see if he can get those Aero parts. It’s like 1/2-1/3 price there from my price comparisons. Also most part numbers don’t show up in the US system or they are not available to order. Just heads up.

Ahhh this makes a difference. Base model with barely any options I get taking off 11% from MSRP. Thing is most people want these things optioned out, AKA Night Packages, Driving Assistance package, Pinnacle trim, etc. Most of the ones I see in the SE region don’t have any of those packages. I made a post on the 2023 C43 Order Guide thread about what options I got on mine and still managed 2k off. Doubt for a fully optioned out or decently speced C43 you’d be able to manage 11% off, but it’s still a good deal either way you look at it
Yeah the one im looking at is rather option less. It does have night package, amg sound but tops out at 63. But as someone said 55k for a new c43 with a hand built motor and all these base features is an incredible deal for what you get.

8% off one that was 73k with options.

Its the Economy ~
Nothing is growing is except for . . . Inflation
To the Masses, an AMG version of a souped up, already overpriced, Luxury Coupe is considered an Extravagance, henceforth, Demand is down
Throw in the fact too that the C Coupes are in " Build Out " Mode ahead of the upcoming CLEs ~ MB is taking all the parts and assembling whats left of those parts creating an uptick in Supply

On the shoulder
I think rates have something to do with it. Tougher to finance this much car when interest makes for a much more expensive payment.
It will also take people time to adjust to moving towards electric (I know the C43 still has a 2 liter motor). The EQ models are also going for pretty good discounts.

The payments is like 30%+ higher than competitors (granted competitors doesn't have an all new model yet).

I love the brand, I have had AMGs since 2013. Nothing about their new line up excites me, its just cars with worse quality, stupid Hybrid systems that ate godawful complicated, and insane prices.
I owned a W176 A 45 AMG, then move to a W212 E 63 4 Matic, then later on to an M5 F90, and lastly an W213 E 63 S AMG. Seen how awful the current line up is and how prices shifted - I sold my W213 E 63 S AMG to acquire a W204 C 63 AMG (with 8k miles, P30 Package) and a C218 CLS 63 AMG (with 20k miles), and traded my X6 M Competition G02 for a G 63 AMG.
Honestly the current line up with this Hybrid crap and Inline 4s and 6s is awful. The build quality of the cars is a lot worse, Mercedes used to be luxury by its interior quality, its smell, its build, nowadays its just useless gimmicks, flimsy consoles, huge screens, and boring engines.
I came about this thread out of curiosity about what were people's thoughts on the C 63 W206 (they are not even bringing it to Brazil, as they know it would flop miserably here), and the current ****ty sale on C 43 and C 63 AMGs is a reflex of the company screwing its image with awful products.

Nope its Mercedes current awful line up. Mercedes thinks its customer base is 30 year old milennials who know nothing about cars and want silly gadgets such as TikTok integration (WHAT THE FLYING F......). They forgot that their customer is usually people who buy it because of its robust build quality, its awesome engineering. The AMG V8 Motors were epic. Now we have a ****ty 4 cilinder that sounds like a fart can, with some stupid Hybrid Assistance (so damn heavy its almost useless)

I enjoy my new c43. Great car. Amazing value for the money. No other car compares at 60k, maybe m340i but its a mass manufactured engine. Nothing special at all about it.
But opinions are welcome
