Mercedes has gone crazy with pricing here. There will be a launch Test-Drive event in Brazil soon, and I will get to test the car out. Funnily enough, it appears the car will arrive here first compared to US.

There are some units already going around in dealers to show to prospects. Impressively looking car, but interior quality of the LCI W205 C AMG is a little better, although the W206 C 63 AMG is a huge step up in quality to the standard W206, unlike the W205 (both AMG and normal civilians Cs were close in quality).

Yes on VAT (here in Brazil its built in the price, its called ICMS, IPI, PIS and COFINS, 4 different sales taxes - I know, its crazy), no on licensing and other tariffs. There is still another 5k USD in fees, after purchase.

On a related note, AMG has apparently killed the CLE 63 S E Performance and instead it's going to be a V8. There have been some recent spy shots showing a CLE 63 lacking the charging door on the rear bumper. This seems to confirm that the 4-banger E Performance CLE is no more. Article is in German, but I'm sure Google can translate it for those who don't speak German.

Yes, I saw this as well. good news for most who prefer the V8. This makes sense as to why the C63 SE is now only being released as a 2024 model in Canada. Likely will not be renewed after or switched to inline 6 or V8 in the future as well.
